This home was recently recognized as an entry of distinction in the 3,001 - 4,000 sq. ft category of the 2015 Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Home Design from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Perched on the highest geographic point in a gated community near
Lake Michigan in South Haven, Michigan, this South Carolina coastal inspired Contemporary
Colonial was designed to be family friendly, with plenty of indoor and outdoor
gathering space as well as open concept interior designs.
With 3,300 square feet of toal living space, the architecture of this home is indicative
of homes already in place throughout the neighborhood and takes sprawling lake
views into consideration.
The home owners wanted to put an emphasis on places to
gather with their extended family. They were also seeking
a coastal/beach retreat feel and were able to accomplish their vision through a
two tiered deck and the use of varying coastal finishes and colors.
