Sorry, Kermit, but it is easy being green. At least for Ritz-Craft Custom Homes it is.
When you’re as detailed as we are with our construction methods, you end up with little waste and award-winning, functional and – for the cherry on top – efficient homes.
On top of offering the option for buyers to build their homes to Energy Star standards, the Ritz-Craft building process is inherently green. We know building a home can have a significant impact on the environment, so we’ve adopted some green-friendly production methods that give new life to scrap materials like wood and drywall.
Throughout the building process, we skip the waste bucket and creatively reuse many materials. Just take leftover wood for example. We use it to reinforce certain areas throughout a home, like where cabinets will be hung, which not only results in less waste, but also in a stronger, more efficient home.
Since our homes are built within controlled environments, the wood doesn’t expand and contract with changes in the weather, making walls, windows, doors and floor systems true and straight. This means your home will have a tighter air envelope and less air infiltration.
All of our homes also have several energy-efficient features, such as Low-E windows and R-19 wall insulation.
With all of this in one – quite pretty – package, you may just want to break out your happy dance. Go ahead, we won’t tell!
